Most Usual Types of Visas

Visa is an official document which is issued to a particular person for permit to travel into particular country. This document is valid for a set period of time. This document is not only for travel purpose but also it is used in many cases or conditions in general lie. Actually we all are known that it is an official document which is issued by national government.

Each country has a big number of visas categories with special names. The most usual types of visas which are heavily used by people are mentioned here in this article.

  •   TOURIST VISA: It is issued for a limited period of time or for a fix time and for holiday vacation travel.
  •  TRANSMIT VISA: Transit visa is very short term visa which is normally valid for only five to seven days or less than it, for passing through the country to a third nation. Air-side transit visa is extremely used by people and mostly used transit visa type.
  •  BUSINESS VISA: As the meaning shows for its name, Business visa is issued for a commercial purpose. It is provided for appealing the business in the nation.
  •  WORKING VISA: It is available in two forms, Temporary working visa and Permanent working visa. Temporary working visa is for workers.
  •  ON ARRIVAL VISA: On-arrival visa is issued at a port of the country entrance. This is different from not requiring a visa at all, as the visitor must still obtain the visa before they can even try to pass through immigration.
  • DIPLOMATIC VISA: Diplomatic visa is normally only available to bearers of diplomatic passports. Many times it is called official visas also. Courtesy visa issued to representatives of overseas governments or worldwide organizations who do not qualify for diplomatic status but do merit expedited, courteous treatment - an example of this is Australia's Special purpose visa. Journalist visa, actually some countries require of people in that occupation when traveling for their respective news organizations.
